14 people are facing charges after the long weekend in North Bay.

City police responded to 302 calls for service.

The charges include drug possession, uttering threats, impaired, and public intoxication.

Meantime, a reminder that the two week North Bay Police school traffic enforcement campaign is underway.

Officers are watching for infractions along school bus routes, in community safety zones and at school crossings.

a 48 year old North Bay man is facing charges following an incident at city police headquarters on Sunday.

Police say a man became irate and was swearing at civilian employees.

Police say one of the three officers who attended was assaulted.

Police charged him with causing a disturbance, assaulting an officer, possessing a prohibited weapon and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police uncovered Methamphetamine pills, cash and Marijuana in addition to a folding knife.

Charged is 48 year old Randy Denis Cloutier.

Meantime, a 65 year old city woman is facing several charges following an investigation into domestic related incidents.

She has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

Police say last Saturday, a male was assaulted at their residence and then he was struck with a broom. Police say before these incidents the male was threatened and he was handcuffed to a bed while sleeping.

The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.

And a 20 year old Corbeil male is facing impaired driving related charges.

Police say an off duty city police officer noticed the driver of an SUV towing a boat almost hitting a parked vehicle at a local restaurant.

The off duty officer suspected the driver was impaired called police and the off duty officer and on duty police arrested the motorist.

As well, North Bay OPP say they conducted five R.I.D.E programs on the long weekend with a distracted driving focus.

Police say they checked 345 vehicles and 86 provincial offense notices were issued.

67 of the notices were for speeding, one for distracted driving and two for seat belt violations. T

There were also 2 Liquor License Act counts as well as other Highway Traffic Act charges.
