NEW opp police

Almaguin Highlands OPP are investigating a sudden death near the South River Dam off Mill Road.

Police say they were called to investigate around 11:30am today (Friday) along with the South River Machar Fire Department, Parry Sound Emergency Medical Services and the North East Region Forensic Identification Services.

47 year old Paul NEWMAN of Joly Township was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police are continuing to investigate but foul play is not suspected.

A post mortem is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
