MNRF looking to find out who started a couple forest fires in the North Bay District

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for starting a couple of forest fires in the North Bay District.

Both were 0.5 hectares in size.

One was located in the Red Squirrel Lake area north of Temagami.

It’s believed it was lit between August 5th and 8th.

The second fire was on the east side of Obashking Lake, southwest of Wigwam Bay of Lake Nipissing and was likely started between August 2nd and 4th.
