No new fires in the region

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says there weren’t any new forest fires in the northeast as of late yesterday afternoon (Saturday).

The North Bay 32 forest fire continues to be held at 61 hectares.

It’s located about 12 kilometres west of Latchford.

The blaze started nearly 2 weeks ago.

FireRangers are working on the fire’s perimeter to widen the established control line.

The forest fire hazard rating is low to moderate across the region.
