The Labour Market Group is out with the latest job vacancies report for the Nipissing District.

The report says there were 445 job postings through both online and print media sources in June.

That’s a drop of 11 from the 456 recorded in May.

However, the report says that number is still higher than the 12 month average over the last year of 396.

The top five industries that are hiring include health care and social assistance with 28 per cent of the positions, retail trade at 13.5, administrative support, waste management and remediation at 13 per cent, manufacturing at 7.6 and professional, scientific and technical at 7.2 per cent.

The highest paying job, by hourly wage, is registered nurse at $50an hour while the highest paying job by annual salary is $84,000 as a program manager with the ministry of Community and Social Services.
