City Police report 355 calls for service on the long weekend with 16 people charged, including a 50 year old North Bay man.

He’s charged with sexual assault on a person under 16 and sexual interference.

It’s alleged a female victim, not known to the man was groped at a public outdoor event on Main Street Saturday afternoon (July 30th).

 

A 30 year old city man has been charged as North Bay Police continue to investigate an incident Saturday night around 9 pm on Main East.

It’s alleged the man was injured during an altercation with two men, who fled the area.

Police say a witness approached the victim out of concern for his condition, but the victim allegedly threatened the witness with a knife then threw a can of beer at the witness.

The man is facing several charges including assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and uttering threats.

 

A couple of incidents have led to several charges for a 24 year old North Bay man.

City police report a male resident of a North Bay apartment building was allegedly threatened Friday around 6:15 pm while a second resident was punched and taken to hospital.

About a half hour later in a First Avenue park a male stranger was allegedly threatened by a man with a knife.

He was not injured.

 

A 44 year old North Bay woman has been charged with assault with a weapon and mischief under $5,000 after a domestic incident Sunday night.

A glass mug was allegedly thrown at a male victim who sustained non-life threatening injuries. A laptap and drywall were also damaged.

 

Two city residents are facing drug charges, including possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

This after an investigation into what police describe as suspicious activity in a vehicle parked on Clarence Street around 6 pm Friday.

A 56 year old man and 46 year old woman have been charged.

$300 in Canadian cash, under 100 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were seized.
