In a shocking turn of events, the long awaited, over-hyped Martin Scorsese/Mick Jagger series ‘Vinyl’ which was to be a “ride through the sex and drug addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco and hip-hop” turned out to be a complete dud and has been cancelled after one season. That doesn’t mean Oscar award winning Director/Producer Cameron Crowe(Almost Famous, Jerry McGuire) and Executive Producer J.J. Abrams(Lost, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) can’t pick up where Scorsese and Jagger left off. Roadies takes a comical yet dramatic look at the “reckless, romantic, funny and often poignant lives of a committed group of “roadies” who live for music and the de facto family they’ve formed along the way.” The show stars Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino and Imogen Poots and airs Sunday at 10PM ET on SHOWTIME.
