Cassellholme is the focus of a Community Forum being held tonight by CUPE Ontario.

The union recently recently released the results of a poll of 800 area residents that found 87 percent want Cassellholme to remain public.

The Cassellholme board has previously said they aren’t privatizing, they’re looking into the possibility of the home becoming a non-profit.

Tonight’s event goes at 7 pm at Discovery North Bay.

Dr. Susan Braedley, assistant professor at Carleton University and a researcher on two international studies focused on long-term care, CUPE Ontario President Fred Hahn and Natalie Mehra, Executive Director with the Ontario Health Coalition will be at the forum.
