The circus was in town on Sunday, but some local residents didn’t get the chance to see it.

Essentially there were too many people lined up, in too short of a time frame to fully complete the transactions.

In an email, Battalion officials say the promoter of the circus essentially rented their ticketing system and instructed local officials to have two people open the ticket windows one hour before the start of the first show.

Officials received a call at about 1:15 pm about a huge line-up.

Within about 20 minutes they had 2 more people added, to have four windows open.

They say the average ticket transaction takes about 1 minute per window and with 800 people showing up without tickets inside of one hour before the start of the event, there simply wasn’t enough time to complete all purchases in such a short period of time.
