The North Bay-Parry Sound District Health Unit says the cleanup of heating fuel oil which has affected residents of Neault Road in Papineau-Cameron Township near Mattawa is progressing well with provincial standards being met.

People who are on private water systems within 100 metres of the spill site are encouraged to monitor their drinking water for fuel oil smell and sheen.

And if they detect any issues they are asked to call the health unit and the local office of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
