The curtain rises on the Theatre Ontario Festival Wednesday at St Joseph-Scollard Hall.

Gateway Theatre Guild spokesperson Carri Johnson says it’s the “Stanley Cup of Ontario Community Theatre”.

She says, “It’s the best of all four theatre regions in Ontario, that have advanced to the outstanding performance in Ontario.”

The festival starts with Gateway Theatre Guild’s own QUONTA award winning production “Curved”, which opens the festival on Wednesday night.

There’s also productions from Cobourg’s Northumberland Players, Theatre Sarnia, and the Curtain Club of Richmond Hill.

Tickets are 24-dollars per show. Check out www.theatreontariofestival.ca for more information.
