Some soggy conditions, but not as sopping wet as expected

It’s soggy, but the brunt of the expected rainfall yesterday (Wednesday) appears to have missed the North Bay area.

12.6 millimetres of precipitation was recorded at the airport.

Winds were gusting upwards of 40 and 50 kilometres an hour yesterday and overnight.

About 1,100 Hydro One customers lost power in the Mattawa area for a few hours.

The cause was a tree on the main line with powers lines down.

Meantime, there’s still rain in the forecast, with about 10 millimetres possible into tonight. 

Some parts of Ontario received upwards of 55 millimetres of rain with the remnants of Hurricane Patricia
