battalion280x160The North Bay Battalion scored a 5-1 win over the Sudbury Wolves in a pre-season game at Memorial Gardens last night (Tuesday).

Kyle Potts, Max Kislinger and Mathew Santos each had one goal and one assist. Mark Shoemaker and Jacob Ball also scored for the Battalion.

Head Coach Stan Butler said he was happy with what he saw from his young players.

“I thought a lot of our young guys played better tonight, which you like to see in exhibition”, said Butler after the exhibition game.

“Hopefully they continue to move in a positive direction.”

First round import draftee Max Kislinger was one of the young players who stood out.

When he was asked about playing hockey in North Bay he noted that it’s a complete different experience, because he’s not used to playing in front of so many fans, and it helps motivate him to be a better player.

North Bay has two more preseason games left,  in Owen Sound on September 19th, then home to the Attack on the 20th.
