OPP monitoring area waterways

Northeast Region OPP is continuing to monitor area waterways – making sure people are being safe on their boats. Constable Brian Bowes says they usually do a number of boat checks everyday where they look for what he calls compliance and competency. He says that means boaters have all necessary equipment on board and knows how to use it, in case of an emergency. Bowes says they also use that interaction as a way to get feedback from boaters as well.
