That’s how much Former North Bay Y Titan Dominique Bouchardmissed the podium by in the 100 metre backstroke final at the Pan Am Games, as she finished fourth. 

Bouchard swam the race in a time of 1:00.54 at the Toronto aquatics venue.

Earlier in the day on Friday, in the heats, Bouchard qualified for the final with the second fastest time at 1:00.44.

Meantime, Bouchard may be swimming in the women’s 4x100m Medley Relay Saturday morning as she finished ahead of fellow Canadian Hilary Caldwell in the 100m backstroke event.  The relay heat goes just before 11:30 am.

 

Earlier in the week, she won silver in the 200 metre backstroke on Wednesday.

In that race, she had a time of 2:09:74, just 1.52 seconds behind fellow Canadian Hilary Caldwell, who won gold.
