Cecils-210Cecil’s restaurant on Main Street is known for a few things; great wings, tremendous karaoke singers and a large selection of beer. Now, they will look to add their own micro brewery to that list. Owner John Lechlitner says they have entered into an agreement with SmartBrew out of New Zealand who will help them install all the equipment needed to brew their own beer in the restaurant. Lechlitner says they had been looking to move into this business for a few years now and the timing just makes sense to do it now.

He says “craft beers and micro beers both locally and internationally are a growing trend. We also found the right company to buy the equipment from and enter into that long term agreement process.”

Lechlitner says the technology they are using is similar to what a large brewery would have.

He says they are only the second bar in North America to have this kind of a setup, and they are looking to start selling their own beer this summer.
