The Heart & Stroke Big Bike

The Heart & Stroke Big Bike is back! From Tuesday, May 22 through to Friday, May 25, over 40 local businesses, agencies, and service clubs will be riding the 30-seater Big Bike. The 3km ride begins at the Discovery North Bay Museum square and takes teams through North Bay’s downtown core. Teams are also riding at Centennial Park in Callander on Wednesday, May 23. Big Bike promotes the importance of heart health and physical activity in our community, while honouring local survivors and loved ones lost.

Heart disease and stroke remain two of the top three leading causes of death in Canada—and, in over 80% of cases, heart attacks and strokes are preventable through healthy lifestyle changes. Come out this May to support the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the leader in groundbreaking, life-saving heart and stroke research. For more information on how to get involved locally, contact Julia at 705-980-4196.
