It’s an unusual time in the snow removal business.

They might get a snow fall or two in early April but for operators like Keith Pollock of Keith and Company Lawn Care this is getting late in the game.

He told BayToday that he’s never seen a winter like this where there’s still snow out there to be removed. He says their contracts expire at the end of March.

“If my customers call sure we’ll go out and do it. It is a pay per visit as the contracts have ended. A lot of people on my list would prefer it melt as they’re sick of winter as much as we are,” he says.

As well he says most contractors have shut down for the season and are taking a few days vacation after a busy winter.

He says they do keep in a crew on standby just in case and that can be an expensive proposition.
