The West Ferris Atom Major AA Trappers – C. John D’Agostino Law team are happy to be hosting the Ontario Hockey Federation Championships this month from Friday, April 13th to Sunday April 15th at West Ferris Arena here in North Bay. This tournament is a wonderful opportunity to watch elite hockey players from across the province battle for gold.  The last time such an event came to the city was back in 1997. The Trappers will be joined by qualifying teams from the Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario (ALLIANCE), Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL), Northern Ontario Hockey Association (NOHA), and Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA).

The weekend will also include a welcome banquet on Thursday night at the Best Western, where all five teams will celebrate their achievements by enjoying a dinner with teammates and families, while being motivated by guest speaker Darren Turcotte, former NHLer and coach of the Nipissing Lakers Women’s Hockey team.

Please be sure to mark your calendars, then come and support this dedicated and hardworking group of boys. Let’s fill the arena!

Tickets can be purchased at the door at the West Ferris Arena for $10 a day or a $25 weekend pass.  Children under 10 are FREE.

The team would like to thank all sponsors and volunteers who have made this weekend possible. Your time and donations are greatly appreciated!
