The Winter Storm warning continues for the North Bay area.

The forecast says 10-20 cm of snow is possible today (Wednesday).

Strong winds will also cause blowing snow.

As the system moves out of the area later today, the snow will taper to scattered flurries tonight.

 

School transportation officials advise all school buses across the Nipissing, East and West Parry Sound Districts are CANCELLED today (April 4th).

Schools remain open.

Buses to G. Theberge School in Temiscaming are also cancelled.

 

Canadore College, meantime, says all of their campuses will be CLOSED today because of the weather.

Classes, exams and events are cancelled, and buildings are closed to non-essential personnel.

Nipissing University remains OPEN today.

Officials say classes and services are running and all buildings are currently open.

 

OPP report Highway 11 North near Sand Dam Road is back OPEN after a single vehicle collision around 4:30 this morning.

A transport was blocking the roadway.

There were no injuries.

The road re-opened just before 7:30 am.
