The North Bay Battalion are home to the number seven ranked team in the country at Memorial Gardens tonight.

It’s the second meeting of the seasonr between the Kitchener Rangers and the Battalion.

Troops Coach Stan Butler says the Rangers have been red hot since they edged North Bay 2-1 on October 29th in Kitchener.

“Then they went on a run of 7 or 8 games. They’ve got a good team, an older team, an experienced team,” he says.

The Troops won their last game on Sunday, which snapped a six game losing streak.

While many want to see lineup changes if things don’t get better soon, Coach Stan Butler says they have only 30 cards, meaning they can only have 30 players for the entire season.

“We have to make sure if we do make trades at the deadline we have enough cards to receive players. I don’t want to be a team that other teams have been in the past where they can’t make a trade that will help their hockey team because they don’t have the cards that are open,” he says.

Catch tonight’s game on Country 600 CKAT, starting at 6:55 pm.
