Nipissing Sports teams are supporting a couple of health causes.

The Nipissing University Student Union and the men’s volleyball team (players are pictured here) are raising funds to support men’s health this month.

$2,000 has been collected so far and Movember wristbands at volleyball matches will be sold this coming weekend.

Meantime, the Nipissing Lakers hockey teams will be wearing will be wearing special purple jerseys on Saturday for the Break The Ice on Mental Health Game.

The women will  play Ryerson at 4:30 and the men go up against Queen’s at 7:30 at Memorial Gardens.

All funds raised will support youth mental health.

The 3rd year sports marketing class at Nipissing will be hand raising funds throughout the games with money raised supporting Do It For Daron and NU listens.
