A charity car, bike and truck show later today (Fri) is helping support One Kids Place Children’s Treatment Centre.

Kia North Bay is hosting the Caffeine and Octane event from 3 pm to 9 pm.

An F-250 Mega Raptor will be there along with classic and high end vehicles & motorcycles.

There’s also a celebrity dunk tank, Twiggs coffee, a barbecue and a cupcake bar along with bouncy castles and face painting for the kids.

Admission is a donation to One Kids Place.

 

Nipissing Serenity Hospice is benefiting from a unique shopping experience tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

The Boot sale is back with over 50 vendors selling items out of their trunks at Lee Park.

There’s also a silent auction, barbecue and kids play land.

 

A fundraising car wash and bottle drive goes tomorrow (Sat) in support of the Duke of Edinburgh program.

The event goes from 10 am to 3 pm at The Hock Shop on Main East.

Funds raised will go towards school supplies to help with their mission of enhancing education in third world countries.

This year is the 10th anniversary of the program which involves St Joseph-Scollard Hall students working on school projects in Costa Rica.

 

The Let’s pARTy! Canada 150 art exhibit is opening tomorrow at the Callander Bay Heritage Museum.

In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday this year, the Alex Dufresne Gallery put out a call to local artists to submit pieces that depict their Canada and what it means to them.

An opening reception goes from 2 pm to 4 pm.

There’s no admission cost and some of the artists will be on hand.
