Rehabilitation work on the Trout Lake Road Overpass means there will be traffic delays for the next several months.

Mayor Al McDonald says the rehabilitation work will result in traffic being reduced to two lanes, one in each direction.

“It’s a major overpass, a bridge in our community that’s important and really needed the attention and the work that’s getting done. We’re very appreciative of the other levels of government stepping up and helping the City of North Bay in fixing this bridge,” he says.

The project cost is $2.7-million with a staff report saying 90-percent is covered by a Connecting Link grant.

The project is expected to be competed in November.
