The Nipissing Lakers men’s hockey program has signed two more recruits for next season.

Defenseman Matt Donnelly and Forward Tyler Brown are described as gritty and reliable players.

Coach Mike McParland says Donnelly should add size and grit to the back end and Brown’s strengths include the ability to deal punishing checks.

Donnelly is a 6 foot 3 inch 200 pound defenseman from Barrie who played out West last year after a junior career in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Brown also suited up in Alberta last year and describes himself as a grinder who plays a hard nosed style.
