The issue of proportional representation is in the news again.

Next Wednesday, MP’s will vote on an all party committee recommendation to support electoral reform.

Fairvote.ca says they already have NDP, Green Party and Bloc Quebecois support, but need 20 Liberal MP’s for the motion to pass.

They’re targeting Liberal MP’s like Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Anthony Rota.

FairVote.ca says Justin Trudeau campaigned on proportional representation but after being elected his government rejected a commons committee report to study the issue.

Officials says polls indicate Canadian voters support proportional representation.
