The North Bay Military Family Resource Centre will benefit from a concert being put together by the Honorary Colonels at 22 Wing.

The 12-piece Royal Canadian Air Force Band, Jet Stream will be performing in the hangar at the Canadore College Aviation campus next month.

Commander of 22 Wing, Col. Henrik Smith says the band puts on a great show and the family resource centre provides an essential service while military members are away from the families serving.

“If the family is secure, the member can focus on getting the job done, it’s critical to what we do,” he says, adding the centre can help family members in a number of areas from medical care to child care to youth and spousal employment and more.

Honorary Col. George Burton says they first heard the band at Pete Handley’s roast event last year.

“People really enjoyed them, they’re a world renowned band.  If you go on their website, you’ll see they’ve played around the world and Canada, they’re professional musicians and put on a great show,” he added.

Tickets to the May 13th concert are $35 each

They’re available at the Military Family Resource Centre, Canadore College Aviation Campus, Cecil’s Brewhouse Kitchen, Dave Saad at 477-30-21 or Bill Jacko at 492-3961.
