Staff and students at St Luke school put their heart into raising funds for Heart and Stroke.

They raised over $6,700 in their month long fundraiser.

One student, Karissa Tremblay raised $300 on her own.

She says she has seen in her own family how people are affected by heart attacks and strokes.

Students from Kindergarten through Grade 8 canvassed their friends,family and neighbors.

Principal Jennifer Rachmann says it’s great to see students take a leadership role and make a difference in our community.
