After a scoreless first period, Brad Chenier scored his first OHL goal, giving North Bay a 1-0 lead.

But two quick Niagara goals gave the IceDogs a 2-1 lead after two periods.

Niagara then added an insurance marker in the third.

Battalion netminder Brent Moran made 38 saves in the loss.
