Nip Strike 2There was expected to be movement within the faculty strike at Nipissing University.

The Nipissing University Faculty Association said earlier this week they were ready to begin negotiating again.

A provincially appointed mediator and the Vice President Academic and Research at the university said it was a positive sign.

However, a release later in the day from the NUFA President Dr. Susan Srigley said no further dates have been set to resume bargaining. She says they once again express their willingness to return to the table and adds “We are willing to bargain in good faith.”

The University, meantime, says in a release that “The University remains committed to returning to the bargaining table when the provincially appointed mediator advises the parties that in his view a return would be productive.”
